We dance on the first Saturday of every month except July and August.
Our monthly dances are mostly contras, with some square or round dances
for variety.
Partners are not required (singles are welcome) and newcomers are
encouraged to join us. We recommend that first-timers of any age attend
an informal half-hour session at 7 p.m. before the dance to learn the
basics. (It's
fun, and you'll do fine. We promise! ) Regular dancing begins at 7:30
p.m.
We now dance at "Hillcrest
Hall", located just off Pa 724 between
Birdsboro and Gibraltar, Pa. There's plenty of
parking.
We are new to the
Hall, and our dancing is new to the owner. We need everyone's
cooperation in making a good impression. Plus, if you can show
up early or stay after to help move about a zillion tables,
we'd appreciate that, too!
Dances in June
and October will
continue at the
Crow's Nest
Preserve.
The Elverson Contra Dance is sponsored by the Conestoga Dance
